The Endurance by Body-Solid E400 Elliptical Trainer is built with a patented center drive design and a low center of gravity providing a smooth and quiet cardio workout.

The E400 Elliptical has an adjustable 17”-21” stride to ensure the best fit for all users. Dual-action upper and lower body movements provide a total body workout.

Fully adjustable with 20 levels of resistance, the E400 Elliptical also features a wireless HRC (heart-rate control) with a chest strap that keeps users in their target zones.

The Endurance by Body-Solid E400 Elliptical Trainer is programmable with six preset programs, five heart-rate programs, manual mode and two user profiles.

The center drive design provides a more compact and stable platform than front or rear-drive ellipticals without compromising biomechanics. The Endurance by Body-Solid E400 will fit into rooms and homes other machines cannot.

Additional features include a 300 lb. weight capacity, a low step-up height of just 8”, an interactive LED display, transport handles for movement and a water bottle holder.

HEART RATE CONTROL

The E400 comes equipped with Heart Rate Contacts as well as a Heart Rate Control Chest Strap for use with the 5 HRC Programs. The Heart Rate Control Strap sends your heart rate information to the console for processing. Heart rate control programs are designed to automatically change resistance to keep your heart rate at a predetermined level based on the selected Heart Rate program. Each Heart Rate program is designed with a specific goal in mind.

% TARGET HEART RATE

% Target Heart Rate allows the user to select a percentage of Maximum Heart Rate that would like to be maintained during the exercise session. The percentage range can be varied from 50% to 85%.

HR 80% (CARDIO)

HR 80% maintains the Target Heart Rate at 80% of the Maximum Heart Rate by automatically adjusting resistance levels. This program provides for a high intensity, cardiovascular workout.

HR 65% (FAT BURN )

HR 65% maintains the Target Heart Rate at 65% of the Maximum Heart Rate by automatically adjusting the resistance levels. This program provides the ultimate fat burning workout.

HR HILL (65-75-85%)

HR Hill simulates hill training by changing the Target Heart Rate thru 3 different percentages. The changes will occur as follows: 65% - 75% - 85% - 75% - 65% -75% - 85% etc. Each percentage will be held for 3 minutes before changing to the next percentage.

HR INT (HILL INTERVRVAL)

The HR INTERVAL program alternates between 65% and 85% of your Max HR. This program provides an excellent fat burn and cardiovascular workout. Each percentage will be held for 4 minutes before alternating to the next percentage.

 The most common method for calculating your target heart rate is to find your maximum heart rate.



The standard formula for this is:
220 - your age = Maximum Heart Rate

  • You DO NO T want to workout at your maximum heart rate.
  • You want to workout in your target heart rate zone.
  • Your target heart rate zone is a percentage of your maximum heart rate.
  • The American Heart Association recommends working out at a target heart rate zone of between 60% - 75% of your maximum heart rate.
